Pushpa Raj Movie New Review: Part 1

Pushpa Raj Movie New Review, Part 1 has explained step by step. The Rise, Sukumar ventures into unchartered territory by making a rustic masala film filled with punch dialogues, characters that speak in a Chittoor dialect and a story that’s rooted deep in the region it’s set in. And seeing as how expectations were sky-high after Rangasthalam, what he delivers turns out to be a mixed bag that’s over-long, falters at times and delivers what it promises at others.

Pushpa Raj Movie New Review: Actor Role

Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) is one of the many coolies in Seshachalam who chop down red sandalwood illegally and sell it by the kilo to powers-that-be. In a syndicate that consists of numerous players, Pushpa slowly learns to find his footing and rise in ranks till the man who would once chop down these trees becomes the one giving the orders. However, his Achilles heel is not his lady love Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna), or the big-wigs Konda Reddy (Ajay Ghosh), Jolly Reddy (Dhananjay), Mangalam Srinu (Sunil) and his wife Dakshayani (Anasuya Baradwaj). It is the fact that his brother (Ajay) won’t let him claim his lineage, something that takes Pushpa from zero to hundred in no time and often becomes the reason for this laid-back, sarcastic, arrogant, even funny man to lose his cool. And right as he gets where he wants to be in life, in comes IPS Bhanwar Singh Shekawat (Fahadh Faasil) threatening to upend the carefully constructed order that Pushpa has put in place.

Pushpa Raj Movie New Review: Actress Role

In this section, Pushpa Raj Movie New Review articulated the actress’s character of the Pushpa Movie: The Rise is backed by a story that’s often explored in cinema – the rise of the underdog. So Sukumar really has nothing new to explore here. What’s new is the way he chooses to expand the story and spend time on setting up Pushpa’s character for a whole film, spanning three hours, before getting into the thick of things. And this move really might not sit well with everyone because despite all the hoopla, that is essentially what this film is. Pushpa might have made foes of numerous people, but none of them seem to even remotely be a match to his unbending nature, that is, till Shekawat comes into town.

Pushpa: Five reasons to watch the Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna starrer

Sukumar’s Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa is all set to hit screens this Friday. The first part of the film Pushpa: The Rise tells the tale of an underdog’s rise to power. With music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film will see Allu Arjun in a completely new avatar, a de-glam role he has never played before. Shot in the forests of Maredumalli, the film revolves around the topic of red sanders smuggling. While movie buffs and fans have numerous reasons to watch the film, take a look at five reasons why you should if you think otherwise:

Allu Arjun transformed himself physically by growing his hair out and looking leaner to play Pushpa Raj, a coolie turned smuggler. The role required him to not just sit in the makeup chair for hours but also travel well into the Maredumalli forest to shoot key scenes. Usually known as the Stylish Star, the actor even rebranded himself as Icon Star in hope that the rustic role will give him a chance to show off a whole new side of him.

Rashmika Mandanna’s Srivalli

Rashmika Mandanna hails from Coorg, so not only did she have to learn Telugu after working in TFI, she had to learn the Chittoor slang in particular for the film. To play Srivalli, the actress went de-glam and will be seen in simple langa vonis and sarees with her skin bronzed up. Her song from the film, Saami Saami, will definitely be one to watch out for if the promo is anything to go by.

Fahadh Faasil’s Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat
Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil has been roped in to play a police officer called Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, whom Allu Arjun’s Pushpa will face-off in the film. The actor went bald for his role and it looks like this is another character that gives him an opportunity to show off his acting prowess. It’s being speculated that the actor will be present for a portion of Pushpa: The Rise, becoming the main conflict in part two.

Samantha’s special number

Samantha will feature in the first special number of her career – Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava – composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Just her stills from the song have taken over the internet, making one wonder how the audience in the theatre will react once she comes on the big-screen to shake a leg with Allu Arjun. The actress looks better than ever in this catchy number that’s on everyone’s mind.

Interesting story and characters of Pushp Raj Movie

Sukumar’s last film Rangasthalam was a massive hit for the story he penned apart from the way the characters were fleshed out. Fans and movie buffs now expect nothing less from Pushpa, seeing as how the film is set in forestland. With actors like Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Dhanunjaya and others on-board, apart from technicians like Mirosław Kuba Brożek and Devi Sri Prasad, the film has high expectations pinned on it.

Pushpa: The Rise movie review highlights: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s film is a massy ride so far

The first half of Pushpa takes it’s own sweet time setting up the character of Pushpa Raj as a man who doesn’t believe in bowing his head to anyone. He might often be called ‘coolie vada’ but his mindset helps him stay above it all. Sukumar pens a massy tale that’s engaging and keeps you hooked as long as the story sticks to the bigger tale at hand. The VFX might not be picture perfect but it doesn’t take long to get lost in this tale filled with men looking to show each other up, with Mangalam Srinu (Sunil) being a huge player in it all.

Samantha’s special number Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava apart from Srivalli seem placed just to soften things in a testosterone filled film. With things coming to a head right before the interval, it remains to be seen how the second half will fare.

Why Case filed against Samantha’s Item song from Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa”

The case on the song titled “Oo Antava” from Allu Arjun’s movie Pushpa: The Rise was filed by a particular men’s association, who believed that the special number is portraying men as lustful. While filing the case, the group of men demanded that the song should be banned from the movie.
